Prepared by the Staff of the Public Library of Fort Wayne and Allen County, 1961. This booklet is a reprint of sketches written about 18 months before President Lincoln appointed the author to the governorship of the Territory of Utah. These writing seem to be the most comprehensive extant descriptions of Fort Wayne of Allen County, Indiana during the decade of 1830-1840.
