From the "What Every Child Should Know Library", the second series. Hardback - blue embossed cloth with guilt lettering on spine only and picture paste-on to front, no dustjacket. 298 pages. A little age spotting to margin of color frontis and title page. Reading pages are very lightly aged, clean, no markings or tears, some corner tip creasing. Top edge has rubbing to the blue coloring. Cover is clean with age spotting to rear, some rubbing, scuffing, and wear to corners and spine ends. Picture paste-on has a bit of aging and a little chipping. Spine is a little dull but not as bad as the scan shows. Hinges are intact and binding is tight. Published by Doubleday, Doran for The Parents' Institute Inc., 1939. Illustrator: J. M.
