A delightful book of original songs and paintings of fifteen familiar and helpful birds. The interior is very clean and bright with no markings. A few of the pages have a tiny nick to foredge, no tears or creases. Cover has a few tiny spots, some scuffing and some minor damage probably caused by tape that was removed and has left a 2" area and a smaller area to top front and a 2" area to rear front where the paper has peeled. Edges have some wear. Binding is tight. Glossy pictorial softcover. Measures 12" x 9". Published by Chantry Music Press, Inc., 1981. A valuable aid for teaching children to sing and learn about the birds in the world of nature. It is designed to be used with children in the kindergarten and primary levels. Included is a delightful playlet for children by Olive Yoder, a former teacher of primary children from Akron, PA. She wrote the play incorporating all the songs with the dialogue. The beautiful artwork was done by Grace Whitehead and Robert Merrick. Each is printed on heavy, textured paper, full-page and in full-color and suitable for framing.
